About me
A little about me
I’m Lesley and I’m a qualified Infant Massage and Baby Yoga teacher, primary school teacher and mum to three beautiful (albeit exhausting) little girls.
My background
I left university in 2009 having completed a degree in English, not really knowing what career I wanted to pursue, but sure that it would involve helping other people. In 2010, I started working at a SureStart Children’s Centre in Kent and it was during my time there that I qualified as an Infant Massage Teacher. I taught group baby massage classes as well as planning, promoting and running many other groups and classes for parents to attend with their children aged between 0 and 5 years.
I also achieved a CACHE Level 3 qualification in Child, Care Learning and Development. I loved this job as it meant I was able to work with families and provide support for them. Through these qualifications and working with children every day, I realised my true passion was in teaching. This led me to complete my primary school teacher training in 2013 and I have been teaching in schools ever since.
Despite my previous roles, it is only since starting my own family, in 2016, that I have truly been able to appreciate what a tough job parenting can be. I started Lesley’s Little Learners in 2023 so that I can provide a service that eases some of the stresses of parenting to others, whilst continuing to teach and still being there for my girls.
My hope with pursuing this passion is that it not only helps others, but inspires my daughters that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.
